Engaged Scholarship at Lehman College

Lehman's "Center for Human Rights and Peace Studies advances social justice and human dignity in an interdisciplinary fashion through the active involvement of faculty, students, and community in research and teaching."

This year’s conference, hosted at Lehman College and developed by the conference planning team, including Lehman's Dr. David Fletcher, explored trauma and trauma-informed practices as related to current efforts to build and sustain restorative and transformative communities

"The Herbert H. Lehman Food Bank aims to alleviate food hardship among Lehman students. It was started by leadership students in the Advanced Leadership class and officially opened in March of 2017."

Lehman College joins a movement taking place at colleges and universities across the nation to address hunger issues among students.
