Developing a Grants Strategy
Review the excellent "Build Your Grants Strategy" Guide. "This guide will help you establish a grants program so that you can keep your grantseeking focused on the opportunities and the tasks that will efficiently lead you to winning awards."
Use your CUNY Login (same as CUNY First) to log onto Chronicle of Philanthropy. Go to Grants and Click on Get Started with Grants Station. Then select "Build Your Grants Strategy" in the upper right portion of the screen.
Develop a Project Description and Identify Keywords:

Searching Tips:
Geographic Scope: Select both National and the State(s) where you work.
Other Terms: Selecting more terms will narrow your results. Broaden your results by deselecting any terms

Grant Forward requires a Lehman email address to create an account. Once logged in, you'll be able to save searches and create lists of funders related to your projects.
Tips
Categories: Selecting categories will help focus your search
Select Status: Options are Open, Continuous, and Closed. If your project is long-term you can select all three to have the broadest search.
