Integrating Privacy Into The Information Governance Landscape

Webinar from Syracuse University iSchool
Hosted by iSchool Alumna Ilona Koti

Privacy has become a growing topic with NSA spying and cross-border data transfers. This session will analyze the overlap between the information governance professional and privacy officers and why records professionals are primed to take a lead role in privacy. Applicable laws, information assessments, retention schedules, and data maps are key tactics that will be examined to ensure privacy components are captured at the enterprise level. Participants will gain insights into recent privacy developments and practical ways to integrate appropriate personally identifiable information (PII) identification measures into their information strategy.
