Legal Research

This guide was designed to help undergraduate students find a wide variety of resources that may be helpful during legal research. This includes primary source materials such statues and regulations focusing on Federal and New York State Law in addition to secondary source materials such as reference books, articles, video and web resources.

Where to begin?

Secondary materials, such as reference books and articles are a good place to begin your research process. Gaining a general understanding of a topic will be helpful before moving on to more specialized  research.

This guide utilizes sections that will provide you with a good start for where to locate these materials in addition to specialized research on Constitutional Law, Business Law and Criminal Law.
