MLA Citation Guides
MLA (Modern Language Association) style is most commonly used to write papers and cite sources within the liberal arts and humanities. The following online guides are consistent with the revised 8th edition.
APA (American Psychological Association) style is most commonly used to cite sources within the social sciences. A 7th edition was just published in 2019. Make sure you know which version you are required to follow. Because both the 7th and the 6th editions might be in use during the transition, many online guides include guidance for both.
