Welcome to the Urban Male Leadership Program (UMLP) and CREAR Futuros Library Guide! Whether you’re a first-year, transfer, or continuing student, this guide is here to support your academic journey at Lehman College and beyond.

The Urban Male Leadership Program at Lehman College is dedicated to facilitating a successful transition into college life. It supports students by enhancing academic skills, fostering personal growth, and promoting leadership and character development—all within and beyond the classroom. Its core mission includes increasing retention and graduation rates, especially for historically underrepresented Black and Latino males, while cultivating meaningful college experiences. The program and activities of the Urban Male Leadership Program are open to all students, faculty and staff regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, and other diverse backgrounds.
