Gale Ebooks
A collection of electronic reference books (e.g., encyclopedias) covering everything from the arts and history to medicine and the sciences. Good database for background information for lab reports.
Oxford Reference Online
Good source for looking up words in articles you do not know or understand.
General Science Full Text This link opens in a new window
Provides access to articles from English-language popular science magazines as well as professional journals. It also provides access to The New York Times Science Section (published weekly on Tuesday).
JSTOR
Good source for scholarly articles on plants and ecology.

ScienceDirect
Access to 765 full-text journals covering scientific, technical, and medical research. One can browse or search for specific articles. This is a good source for scholarly and peer reviewed articles.
SCOPUS
Largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources. One can search for articles by topic, author, or university. Also, one can quickly find important and influential articles by sorting articles by the number of citations.

Provides a search of scholarly literature across many disciplines, formats, and sources, including theses, books, abstracts, and articles. Google Scholar sorts articles weighing the fulltext of each article, author, publication in which article appears, and how often the piece has been cited in other scholarly literature.

If you encounter issues off-campus, use the regular https://scholar.google.com link.
Go to settings, select Library Links, do a search for Lehman, save it. Then perform a new search. You should see results with Full Text at Lehman.

Gardening and Horticulture
