Congressional Record

The Congressional Record is a substantially verbatim account of the remarks made by Senators and Representatives while they are on the floor of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The Congressional Record is the official record of the proceedings and debates of the United States Congress.

The Congressional Record Index (CRI) serves as the index to the Congressional Record. When Congress is in session, the Joint Committee on Printing publishes the Congressional Record Index biweekly.

The History of Bills lists legislative actions on bills that are reported in the Congressional Record, which has been published since 1874.

It includes material such as corrections to the Congressional Record, when members unanimously decide to expunge remarks or extraneous matter from the permanent edition of the Record.

Senate Manual, prepared during the second session of each Congress by the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, contains the standing rules, orders, laws, and resolutions affecting the Senate, as well as copies of historical U.S. documents, such as Jefferson's Manual, Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, Constitution of the United States, et cetera. and selected statistical information on the Senate and other Government entities.

This consists of a linked set of published congressional records of the United States of America from the Continental Congress through the 43rd Congress, 1774-1875.
