This guide supports examination of the burial site of the enslaved peoples working on the Van Cortland Plantation, now Van Cortlandt Park. Through books, articles, slave indexes and links, life for the enslaved is explored under the colonial Dutch.
Located along the eastern edge of the Kingsbridge Burial Ground, this area has been identified as a burial site of enslaved Africans who lived on the Van Cortlandt family estate.
