The Bloomberg terminal is a premier international financial services database providing news and analytics for over 129 countries and 250 exchanges. Features include 24-hour historical and 15-minute delayed securities pricing in addition to news, data, and analysis on companies, markets and economies. Lehman College has introduced one Bloomberg Terminal, housed in the Leonard Lief Library, commencing Spring Term 2018.

Usage Policy: Only current students, staff, or faculty can use the Bloomberg Professional terminals. Each user is limited to 90 minutes, and priority is given to students and faculty of the Economics & Business Department.

Location & Reservation information: There is one Bloomberg Professional terminal available to the  Lehman community.  You must reserve a time slot online and then follow the instructions for logging in.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCESS during July and August 2022

During the summer months, access to the Bloomberg Lab and registration for the BMC course are only available through a scheduled class in the Lab.

The Bloomberg Terminals are designated for current Lehman students, faculty, and staff conducting research specifically utilizing the Bloomberg resource

When the Bloomberg Lab reopens for the Fall Term 2022, the procedures will be as follows:

To ensure that they gain credit for the BMC course, students must first ask their professor for a course code.

TO LOG IN, OR CREATE A LOG IN TO THE Bloomberg terminal (Fall Term, 2022):

A. For students who do not yet have a Bloomberg login and wishing to register for the BMC course:

1. Navigate to Bloomberg for Education’s Web Portal: https://portal.bloombergforeducation.com/register and select Sign up as a Learner button

2. Do NOT click on button to pay for service. Instead, look below on the platform to

3. Enter contact information, using your Lehman email. Select Sign up button

B. Students wishing to access the terminal for research, not for the BMC course, click the Terminal Access Tab

C. Create a Bloomberg Terminal Login by navigating to the Terminal Access Tab and follow the account creation wizard to create login.

Once a Terminal account has been created, follow the instructions in the section D titled Login Instructions for students WHO ALREADY HAVE a Bloomberg Terminal login.

D. LOGIN INSTRUCTIONS for students WHO ALREADY HAVE a Bloomberg Terminal login:

1. Navigate to https://bba.bloomberg.net

2. Enter Bloomberg Terminal Username and Password

3. Verify your identity with a code sent to your enrolled email or mobile phone

4. Click the Down arrow to the right of the Launch button and select Launch within the browser
