Assignment

Identify an organization that has a current active humanitarian agenda in Africa. Over the course of the semester, you will research and learn about this organization, investigate its policies and actions in a particular conflict, and analyze some of the challenges its members and participants encountered. The final research memo (4-5 pages) will include a brief description and history of the organization and its involvement in your chosen location and conflict, as well as offer a critical analysis of its actions and possible suggestions for improvement.

    Welcome

This guide will orient you to sources that will help you identify humanitarian and other nongovernmental organizations operating in African countries and find information about their current activities. Please visit the library's reference desk if you have further questions and be sure to mention this workshop/guide to the librarian.
