Welcome

Welcome, LEH100 Students, to your first of 3 library visits. You'll be coming back in ENG110 and ENG120 to build on what you learn today.

Today, we hope you'll leave this workshop thinking about:

  • All the resources the library offers you (eReaders, laptops, printing, books and more)
  • The difference between materials you can find on the Open Web and those only found on the Hidden Web
  • Some tools to help you effectively search the Open Web and the Hidden Web

Freshman Year Initiative Library Workshops

You'll be back in English 110 to learn about

  • Evaluating information sources (like websites)
  • What it means to be an expert and how you can become one

And you'll be back in English 120 to learn about

  • The research process
