Library Resources for Faculty: Reserves

Reserve Books

It is always a good idea to place any required readings on Reserve at the Library.

If the Library does not own the item, it may be purchased, depending on funding. Professors can also put their own copy of a textbook on Reserve.

Finding and Using Electronic Resources for Course Readings

Video/DVD Reserves

Faculty may put a video or CD on Reserve so it is available when they want to use it in class, or for students to use on their own. Students must view videos that have been placed on Reserve in the Library's Fine Arts Room. Only faculty may remove multimedia items from the Library.

Electronic Reserves (Docutek ERes-Ereserves)

Faculty may also add articles and book chapters to our Electronic Reserve system.

This system would be particularly useful for book chapters and articles that are scanned and stored as PDFs.

E-Reserves in this system will be protected under Copyright law.
